The White Hat Guide to Buskers & Street EntertainersYou will find some of a variety of buskers and street entertainers at: - The Victoria Market on a Saturday morning. For example, you may well find The Band Who Knew Too Much outside the Deli section at about 11 a.m.
- Most weekday afternoons and evenings will provide a number of buskers in the Bourke Street Mall
- Saturday and Sunday afternoons at Southgate will usually provide a number of performers
- Watch out for Bernadette - the accordion player - near Freshwater Place on various days
- The Balloon Man in the Bourke Street Mall and Queen Victoria Market, twisting his happy balloons whilst quietly spreading his philosophy of doom and despair.

long become a Melbourne Institution for those
Intelligent and Independent
souls prepared to look beyond the bounds of either the mainstream -commercial or
mainstream-alternative marketing machines. (However, be warned that we can
occasionally be a little Irreverent.) Buskers can enter prize categories that will be judged on stages provided. Entrants will be judged in the morning down the main street and winners will have an opportunity for a major prize. Winners will perform in the evening alongside local band In Sol Inside. There will be Primary and Secondary School categories and powered outlets are provided. 8am to 2pm - main street ;
3pm to 9pm - Coal Creek; Free morning, gold coin donation down at Coal Creek |
