Blood Oath
Blood Oath

During World War 2, 300 Australian soldiers entered the Japanese prison camp on the island of Ambon. Three years later, less than 200 were alive. This film tells part of that story through the vehicle of the Australian War Crimes Trials on Ambon following the war.

The screenplay was co-written by the son of the original prosecutor in that trial, and features Bryan Brown in that central role, along with Russel l Crowe in his first film role.

The DVD comes with excellent support materials including transcripts of many important documents associated with the events.

Blood Oath (the book)

Brian Williams' book contains much information that was not possible to include in the film.
