The Year of Living Dangerously - the White Hat guidePeter Weir's 1982 film The Year of Living Dangerously is a mixture of fact and fiction. It is set in Indonesia during the troubled 1960s, the demise of Suharto (Indonesia's first president) and the rise to power of Suharto (who subsequently banned by the showing of the film in Indonesia. It was first shown there in September 2004. The Oscar-winning movie stars Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver. |
