"There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around
That the colt from old Regret had got away,
And had joined the wild bush horses -- he was worth a thousand pound,
So all the cracks had gathered to the fray..."

So begins the immortal poem by Andrew Barton ("Banjo") Paterson, first published in 1890, that has inspired generations of Australians.

The Man from Snowy River
Arena Spectacular
On the evening of 15 September  2000, a lone horseman galloped into the arena of Stadium Australia in homage to The Man from Snowy River and signalled the start of the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

In 2002 the creative team behind that sensational Opening Ceremony was again inspired to develop the Snowy River segment into a complete stadium event. The result was the enormously successful The Man from Snowy River Arena Spectacular.

The magic, music and excitement of this mammoth event is now available to be relived or experienced for the very first time on DVD. Featuring the  Georgie Parker, Steve Bisley, Charles 'Bud' Tingwell, Lee Kernaghan and Martin Crewes as The Man, together with Australia's best riders and their horses.

Qantas In Flight Magazine chooses White Hat Cemetery Tour as its featured Australian tour for May

There are many fine historical tours throughout Australia including cemetery tours. From these, the prestigious Qantas In Flight Magazine has chosen the White Hat Tour of Melbourne Cemetery as its featured Australian tour for the May 2007 edition. This tour was also featured by ABC radio on 24 May and will feature in a documentary series on Burke and Wills to be shown on European television in 2008. The tour has been operating for many years and has won praise from a wide range of sources. This is not a dry and stuffy tour but in keeping with all White Hat offerings it is Informed, Intelligent, Independent (and occasionally) Irreverent. You can find details of the tour at White Hat Tour of Melbourne Cemetery and view the article at Qantas In Flight Magazine.
