From Salt Lake City, the 'crossroads of the west' the XIX Olympic Winter Games will go down in history as the greatest ever for Australia. Steven Bradbury grabbed our first winter gold in history as the 'last man standing' in the speed skating and Alisa Camplin captured our hearts and gold in the Freestyle 'rials.

Written by John Doyle (one half of Roy & HG) and starring Stephen Curry, Leon Ford, Anthony Hayes, Bill Kerr, Desmond Kelly, Geoff Morrell, Matthew Newton, Mark Priestley, Charles 'Bud' Tingwell, Matthew Whittet and Frank Wilson, this series follows six young Australians who go to war full of confidence and bravado. When Singapore falls in 1942 they are marched off to Changi where they survive three-and-a-half years of life as prisoners of war. Humour is their key to survival.
