Situated on the lower slopes of Black Mountain these gardens showcase Australian plants from around the continent.
A main path winds through the complex providing access to the variety of plantings.
The gardens have a visitor centre, a bookshop and a licensed cafe serving light fresh food. Free guided walks led by volunteer guides are also available.
Ample parking is available but parking charges apply. The gardens are about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop in the university (ANU).
