Bentleigh Sunday Market

The Bentleigh Sunday Market is run by the Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central. Since 1977, over $1.7 million has been raised to support local charities and Rotary Projects. Caribbean Gardens Market

A large market picnic area and a big range of new and second hand goods. On Wednesdays entry is free and there is access to and general market, food stalls and playground. On Sundays there is an entry fee and as well as the market there is a children's train and boat rides, rock climbing. Caribbean Gardens Market is close to the Eastlink freeway and is now oppen Fridays as well as Wednesdays and Sundays. It is closed Christmas Day.

As far as White Hat is aware, this is one of the few regular markets in Melbourne where you can still see an auctioneer formally auctioning of job lots oftrash & treasure and other items.

Created by the social advocate Fr Bob Maguire, this market concept is about reigniting in us all the power of community featuring arts & crafts, produce, products, ideas and social initiatives. Located in close proximity to the well-established South Melbourne Market and within walking distance of both the Albert Park and South Melbourne shopping precincts, the market will initially be open every Sunday. Father Bob's Community Market will provide an all day market offering a diverse range of produce and products, including arts, crafts, jewellery and clothing. Hurstbridge Farmers' Market

The Hurstbridge Farmers’ Market, has an emphasis on local fresh food and produce that is grown, reared, caught or made by the person selling the produce. Local producers will be given preference over producers from out of the area and the range of produce on sale will vary from season to season. Products include: free range meats, seasonal vegetables, seasonal fruit, honey, olives and olive oil, baked goods, cheeses, eggs ,seedlings, wine and more. in.cube8r gallery is a shop/gallery which runs like a long term market. It is open to anyone who makes things by hand and supports all things craft, art and hand-made in Melbourne. The gallery is divided up into glass cubicles, shelves, racks and partitions which artists can lease for a small weekly cost over a three month period. There is no commission on items sold. When Whitehat visited in June2008 we discovered a treasure trove of new upcoming artisans as well as designers like Julie Ughetti, with an international reputation. The work ranges from the quirky to sophisticated and given the diversity of art work on display you appear to be guaranteed to find eclectic original pieces.
