The White Hat Guide to Ice Skating in Melbourne

The major skating venue in Melbourne is The Icehouse at Docklands which opened in early 2010.

Since the demolition of St Moritz in St Kilda, the city and inner suburbs has not had a permanent ice skating rink in or near the city until the opening of Wonderlands in the Docklands in mid 2009. The ice skating rink at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl closed in 1998. And the Wonderland Park rink no longer operates since the opening of the nearby and much larger Icehouse.

Ice Skating Rink at Werribee Plaza

Ice skating, demonstrations, classes, late night skating to music on Thursdays and Fridays plus Saturday morning Skate School. General Skate Costs $5 for children 5 years and under, $8 for children 6-14 years, $10 for children aged 15 and over.
Daily until 26th January 2009

The skating rink at Ringwood has closed down.

National Ice Sports Centre

The National Ice Sports Centre is due to be open in Docklands in 2010. It will contain two ice rinks and spectator seating and will be capable of hosting international ice hockey, ice skating, curling and speed skating events
