Gardening with Roses
|
Roses are synonymous with the garden at Rosedown, home of rosarian Brenda
Triffitt. Romantic in design and relaxed in style, the garden surrounds an 1840s
riverside cottage set against towering eucalypts, and features hundreds of roses
including heritage, David Austin and Alister Clark cultivars. The workshop will
discuss the history of roses, varieties (their form and requirements),
selection, propagation, uses, pests and diseases. Brenda will guide visitors
through the garden that she and her husband have developed over decades: a
testament to her love and knowledge of gardening with roses. This event is part
of the wonderful
Australia's Open Garden Scheme.
Bookings are essential for this event as places are very limited. Tickets $50
includes morning tea. Please note that lunch is not included; please BYO picnic
lunch. You can book online via Australia's Open Garden Scheme' secure site
here
or phone (03) 6429 3175 during business hours. |
