The White Hat Guide to Markets in Melbourne & Victoria
White Hat - THE place to find markets
Over the years White Hat has become recognised as THE
place to list and find markets and our
markets pages consistently receive over 3,000 visitors a day with over
6,000 a day at weekends. Unlike many
websites which merely LIST markets, White Hat VISITS markets as
witnessed by the photographs. Although we visit hundreds of markets
every year we can never cover all of them so please let us know if any
of our information is out of date. With details on over 600 markets,
users regularly tell us that the
White Hat listing is the best and most
comprehensive source of markets available either on the web
or in print.
"This the best and most comprehensive source of markets in
Victoria"
Whether you are after fine food, trash and treasure, collectibles, antiques or just local colour, you will find markets all around Victoria on most weekends.
Below is a comprehensive list of markets sorted by suburb or town. To see markets listed by region, click on the region or town of your choice at Victoria's Regions. Markets in the Melbourne metropolitan area can be found at Melbourne Markets.
You can also see them sorted by day of the week by clicking on the links below.

Food & Seed Swap at Slow Food Farmers’ Market
As mentioned in the edition of White Hat Food
Newsletter focusing on 'Sustainable Food', Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA)
is holding their first ever fruit and veg/seed swap at the Abbotsford Convent
Slow Food Farmer’s Market. If you’ve had a bountiful crop this winter and ended
up with more fruit and veg than you know what to do with, they’d love you to
come along and take part. Not only is this a great opportunity to show off your
skills, but to also chat with with like-minded individuals and to have fun. The
aim is to get members like yourself talking and discussing the successes (and
failures!) of your efforts in sustainable gardening while sharing your produce
as well as your knowledge. It’s also a great opportunity to swap some seeds as
Spring approaches. There will be SGA volunteers heading along to give you the
latest happenings on the PODs project – Productive, Organic and Diverse
gardening groups. If you have a passion for gardening, want to connect with your
community, meet like-minded people and make a genuine difference to the
environment, why not get involved? This will be a fantastic opportunity to
network and get your own POD up and running.
