A particularly good collection of 19th Century Australian and European art. Its collections include a special collection of art from the Bendigo goldfields, 19th Century European paintings, sculptures and decorative arts and contemporary Australian art. The original Victorian era gallery has recently been expanded with modern extensions.

The Golden Dragon Museum

This museum records and celebrates the presence of Chinese in Bendigo since their arrival with the gold rushes. The museum is also home to Sun Loong, the world's oldest and longest Chinese dragon. Entry fees apply.

Bendigo Art & Craft Market

An outdoor maket with hand made, individual and creative items such as jewellery, hand knitted and specialty children's clothing,leatherwear, cut flowers (in season), preserves, crystals, ceramics, hand made soaps and more. The market is a project of the Sandhurst Rotary Club and has been operating since 1989. The markets also operates on other selected dates. There is a markey on Easter Sunday (8 April) and the 2007 Australia Day market (Jan 26) and Good Friday (6 April) Family Day will both be held at Lake Weeroona.

Mundy Market on Mondays

Mundy Market has been designed to celebrate and provide an avenue for aspiring and creative young people known to the orgaisers. Mundy Market is a community event that is operated by the partnerships of BCentral and an amazing army of volunteers. Taking place at BCentral on Monday 10 December 2007 from 11:00am until 2:00pm, with the aim of running the market every three months in 2008.

Qantas In Flight Magazine chooses White Hat Cemetery Tour as its featured Australian tour for May

There are many fine historical tours throughout Australia including cemetery tours. From these, the prestigious Qantas In Flight Magazine has chosen the White Hat Tour of Melbourne Cemetery as its featured Australian tour for the May 2007 edition. This tour was also featured by ABC radio on 24 May and will feature in a documentary series on Burke and Wills to be shown on European television in 2008. The tour has been operating for many years and has won praise from a wide range of sources. This is not a dry and stuffy tour but in keeping with all White Hat offerings it is Informed, Intelligent, Independent (and occasionally) Irreverent.
