Half Day Tour

This complex is a set of stadiums set in parklands near the river and a short distance from the city. To get there you can either catch a No. 70 tram in Flinders Street, or walk through Birrarung Marr. Alternatively it is a short walk from Flinders Street, Jolimont or Richmond railway stations. Car parking is available - entry from Batman Avenue.

It is the home of the Australian Open Tennis. Olympic Park Stadium was built for Melbourne's Olympic Games and acted as a supplementary smaller arena to the nearby MCG. The Rod Laver Arena (named after Rod Laver, the famous Australian tennis player) and Vodafone Arena are more recent multi-purpose stadiums with closable roofs. They are used for tennis, basketball, cycling and other sports, as well as for shows, rock concerts and popular entertainment.
