Treasury Gardens

NYE - Midnight Lives Sites & Fireworks

Enjoy free music from some of Melbourne's best DJs, and a large multi-media entertainment 'nest', complete with music, visuals and pyrotechnic effects. At midnight, the spectacular fireworks will light up the city skyline in a dazzling display of colour and light.

Please note that all city loop stations including Flagstaff and Parliament stations will close at 11.45pm. After the midnight fireworks patrons are advised to walk to Southern Cross Station or Flinders Street Station where services will be operating all night.

Fitzroy Gardens

Sinclair's Cottage was built for the chief gardener, James Sinclair, and is occasionally open to the public.

Captain Cook's Cottage

The Conservatory has displays throughout the year featuring Hydrangea/Fuchsia (Nov-Feb), tuberous Begonia (Feb-Apr), Tropical/Poinsettia (Apr-Jul), Cineraria/Cyclamen (Jul-Sep) and Schizanthus/Calceolaria (Sep-Nov). It was donated to the people of Melbourne by 'Mac' Robertson.

The and Pavilion Restaurant and kiosk used to be formal tea rooms.

Free Guided Tour of Fitzroy Gardens

A free one hour guided walking tour through this formal garden highlighting its rich history. Bookings are not required. The tour leaves from the Conservatory.
