Mia Mia Gallery, The Didge Circle, The Pines Learning and Manningham City Council are coming together for the first annual Melbourne Didjeridu Festival, a day long celebration showcasing one of the world’s most ancient living instruments, the didgeridoo, and celebrating Australia’s rich heritage. There will be workshops, stalls and activities throughout the day, concluding with a concert featuring performances from world-renowned artists.

|  | Classics at Fed Square | Enjoy your favourite music all year round with Classics at Fed Square. Held
in the stunning surrounds of the BMW Edge, these free monthly concerts offer
something for everyone, from classical and swing to big band, jazz and even
contemporary pop. The program will include old favourites including the
Salvation Army Veteran Band and the Navy Band as well as budding talents from
some of the best creative schools across Victoria. Bring a friend and make a day
of it, with free exhibitions at ACMI and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia

Australian production features an all-star cast, with Matt Lee as Bert, Philip
Quast as Mr George Banks, Marina Prior as Mrs Winifred Banks, Sally Anne Upton
as Mrs Brill, Christopher Rickerby as Robertson Ay, Judi Connelli as Miss
Andrew, and Debra Byrne as The Bird Woman. The title role of Mary Poppins will
be played by Australian Verity Hunt-Ballard.

Qantas In Flight Magazine chooses
White Hat
Cemetery Tour as its featured Australian tour for May

There are many fine historical tours
throughout Australia including cemetery tours. From these, the
prestigious Qantas In Flight Magazine has chosen the White Hat Tour
of Melbourne Cemetery as its featured Australian tour for the May
2007 edition. This tour was also featured by ABC radio on 24 May and
will feature in a documentary series on Burke and Wills to be shown
on European television in 2008. The tour has been operating for many years and has won
praise from a wide range of sources. This is not a dry and stuffy
tour but in keeping with all White Hat offerings it is Informed,
Intelligent, Independent (and occasionally) Irreverent. You can find
