The White Hat Guide to Hubert CliffordHubert Clifford composer 1904 - 1959Hubert Clifford came from Bairnsdale in East Gippsland. He studied chemistry at Melbourne University but after graduation went to England where he pursued a career in music. Although Clifford possibly received his greatest recognition as a composer of 'light music' (see examples below) he also composed a number of major works in a serious but accessible style.
