A particularly good collection of 19th Century Australian and European art. Its collections include a special collection of art from the Bendigo goldfields, 19th Century European paintings, sculptures and decorative arts and contemporary Australian art. The original Victorian era gallery has recently been expanded with modern extensions.

The Golden Dragon Museum

This museum records and celebrates the presence of Chinese in Bendigo since their arrival with the gold rushes. The museum is also home to Sun Loong, the world's oldest and longest Chinese dragon. Entry fees apply.

Over the years White Hat has become recognised as THE place to list and find markets in Melbourne & Victoria and our markets pages consistently receive over 1,000 visitors a day with over 3,000 a day at weekends. Unlike many websites which merely LIST markets, White Hat VISITS markets as witnessed by the photographs. Bridge Street Market

Bendigo's Fresh Food & Produce, Arts & Crafts Market. An initiative of the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst the Bridge Street Market provides market goers with the opportunity to experience some of Victoria’s finest produce and purchase some local hand crafted arts and crafts from one of our many stall holders

Goornong and Community Twilight Bazaar

Over 30 market stalls selling everything from art and craft food wine and more this event also has entertainment. Latest information on dates sent to Whiet Hat - "Dear Sir, I wish to advise you that the committee of the Goornong Twilight Bazaar are not having a Bazaar in January and February, a possible date for our next Bazaar could be the second saturday in April. We will be having a meeting in January to discuss whether we have a Bazaar then, or go into recess. ")

Mundy Market on Mondays

Mundy Market has been designed to celebrate and provide an avenue for aspiring and creative young people known to the orgaisers. Mundy Market is a community event that is operated by the partnerships of BCentral and an amazing army of volunteers. Taking place at BCentral on Monday 10 December 2007 from 11:00am until 2:00pm, with the aim of running the market every three months in 2008.

The Square - Bendigo's Handmade Market

A boutique handmade market featuring crafters and makers from the region and further afield. White Hat can recommend this market to those who prefer the comfort of an indoor venue. It is also in the middle of Bendigo's downtown shopping precinct so you can combine your craft market browsing with other shopping. Further information at The Square

Qantas In Flight Magazine chooses White Hat Cemetery Tour as its featured Australian tour for May

There are many fine historical tours throughout Australia including cemetery tours. From these, the prestigious Qantas In Flight Magazine has chosen the White Hat Tour of Melbourne Cemetery as its featured Australian tour for the May 2007 edition. This tour was also featured by ABC radio on 24 May and will feature in a documentary series on Burke and Wills to be shown on European television in 2008. The tour has been operating for many years and has won praise from a wide range of sources. This is not a dry and stuffy tour but in keeping with all White Hat offerings it is Informed, Intelligent, Independent (and occasionally) Irreverent.
