Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn

Elizabeth Blackburn was born in Australia and went on to gain her
M.Sc. at the University of Melbourne. She later studied at Cambridge and
Yale and is currently Professor of Biology and Physiology at the University
of California. In 1998 she was the winner of The Australia Prize for her
work in molecular genetics.
In October 2009 she became Australia's first female
Nobel Prize Winner.
