The White Hat Guide to
Sydney Road
Although Sydney Road runs for quite a distance (all the way to Sydney if
you include the Hume Highway) its most characteristic section is the narrow
street clogged with cars and trams that runs through the suburbs of
Brunswick and Coburg.

first Saturday of the month. It includes a
- Coburg Edibles Swap - A free community exchange of home-grown

Coburg Night Market
The Coburg Night Market consists of:
- Take-away food vendors providing a wide range of street foods,
predominantly focused on multi-cultural cuisines, all prepared and cooked
fresh on-site
- Bars - a fully licensed site with bars
- Young designer fashion and artisan stalls promising an eclectic product
mix with emphasis on the innovative, unusual and bizarre
- Health & harmony - an area dedicated to mind, body and spirit with
massage therapists, reflexology, tarot and aura readers, as well as related
natural products
- Entertainers - bands show-casing different musical styles, roving
performers and children’s activities.

Brunswick Market
Brunswick Market fruit & veg section
A general indoor market with long-term stall and shop holders with
butchers, a fishmonger, poultry, delis, dry goods, fruit and vegetables and
some variety and clothing stores. 6am to 6pm Monday to Saturdays (Fridays
open till 7pm). On Sundays only the fruit and veg section is open (enter
from rear) from 7am to 6pm.

Brunswick Secondary College’s Twilight Market
Brunswick Secondary College’s annual Twilight Market will be held
on Friday the 7th of October 2022, from 5pm to 9pm. There will be live
music, food trucks, a bar, silent auctions, and a huge range of market
stalls. The event hopes to engage the local community, as well as raise
funds for various projects around the school such as improved classrooms and
recreational areas. Come along and enjoy a wonderful night out while
supporting the school.

Charles Street Artists' Markets
Located in a carpark close to Sydney Road, this market features arts and crafts from local artists. There is roving entertainment as well as workshops.The next market is on 14th December 2013

Locally designed wares from Brunswick plus food from the trucks and drinks from the local bar.

Coburg Community Market
Community market featuring local products and produce. Hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Coburg & Moreland. Stall holders commence 7:15am, market commences 8am.

Sisters' Market
Sisters’ Market is a market founded by two sisters. They love finding diverse
items that both inspire and excite. And let’s face it…they love to shop! The
market features an array of stalls filled with artwork, clothing, accessories,
food, body products, home wares and other quality goods. As White Hat predicted
in our newsletter after we had attended
their very first market "we expect this market to be around for a number of
years to come and to build a build a strong community following".
