Brunswick Market fruit & veg section

A general indoor market with long-term stall and shop holders with butchers, a fishmonger, poultry, delis, dry goods, fruit and vegetables and some variety and clothing stores. 6am to 6pm Monday to Saturdays (Fridays open till 7pm). The Supper Market at the Abbotsford Convent and it’s only 4km from the city. There is a range of food on the food hawker stalls, and shoppers have numbers of products on offer, while people looking for entertainment will find circus performers roaming the grounds, music lovers will enjoy acoustic music played by local musicians. White Hat suggests that those who want to be outdoors on a summery Friday night should consider the Supper Market. White Hat can recommend this market as a good source for those looking to do a quirky fitout as well as to theatre companies and film-makers looking for genuine period props. It now functions more as a warehouse so give a ring before making a special trip. ..

White Hat recommends that if you are travelling the Princes Highway between Geelong and Warrnambool that you take a break at the Pombo Mart. There is a cafe and one of the proprietors is Peter Brocklehurst "The singing cobbler" continues to ply his trade repairing watches and shoes, cutting keys and engraving.
